IP Telephony

Multi-Site

IP telephony promotes consistency and continuity across dispersed locations by linking branch offices to the single yet flexible IP PBX communications system.

EIC easily supports multiple sitesWhether an organization occupies a single location or has multiple branches, IP telephony offers benefits from more efficient moves, adds and changes, as well as from centralized telecom routing configurations to distributed agents and virtual contact centers.

Unlike circuit-based models, IP telephony doesn’t require physical wiring between the switch, trunk lines and stations so multi-site configurations do not end up being engineered based mainly on fixed call routing rules. Instead, with IP telephony, lines and—more importantly, stations—can be placed logically in the network wherever they make the most sense. Multi-site configurations using local SIP gateways and distributed proxy servers can effectively distribute communications from a single server to multiple locations.
